Herbs have been used in medicine around the world for millennia and despite the wide scale use of synthetic drugs we are in the midst of a herbal renaissance, with more and more people acknowledging the power of herbs and demanding high quality organic or wild crafted remedies.
Herbs gently support the body's natural healing processes and tend to be free of side effects, however natural does not mean harmless and herbs must be selected and administered using common sense.
All of our herbs are sold in dried form, are of the highest grade available are non irradiated and GMO free, are either Organic or Wild Harvested and none of our products have been tested on animals.
90% of our medicinal herbs are still harvested from hedgerows, meadows, forests and mountain sides. All such Wild Harvested herbs sourced by us are subjected to rigorous quality controls and no more than 10% is harvested at any one time to ensure sustainability and minimal environmental impact. All analysis is carried out by our suppliers in their own laboratories.
We do not differentiate between organic and wild harvested in our product listings as presently organic status seems to be orientated more towards politics and profit rather than quality and sustainability but you can be assured the quality of our products are second to none.
Although all the herbs we sell are relatively safe for self-prescription, precautions and contraindications must be studied carefully. Further, only short lived imbalances are suitable for self treatment; chronic, long standing illnesses, must be referred to a qualified medical herbalist.
Unfortunately, under the Medicines Act 1968, it is illegal for us to make medical claims about herbs or associated products, or give dosages and all information given is to be taken purely for eduactional purposes.
Druids Keep regrets that it cannot accept responsibility for abuse or misuse of any of the products contained in our catalogue or supplied by Abbey Botanicals.
Any Herbs with a (**) after the name means that only very limited amounts are available for sale at any given time due to the scarcity of the product, we are trying our utmost to remedy the situation and locate other sources of supply to our exacting standards for these products but for the time being incense production has priority for the use of these herbs.
