Incense of the Festivals

These Hand Blended Incenses are sold in a resealable bag in quantities from a small packet for personal use up to a large 250 gram bag for group or coven use. 

These Incenses have been composed to mark the seasonal festivals and contain herbs & oils which are traditionally associated with these special times of the year.

Imbolc / Candlemas Incense

1st February. This is a time of the first stirrings of Mother Earth; spring-cleaning, a time of cleansing & purification, preparation for growth and renewal. A festival of the Triple Goddess, whose breath gave life to the dead.

Spring / Ostara Incense

21st March. Also known by the druids as Alban Eiler. At this time is the balance of light & dark. Sowing time; earth cycle of plant and animal fertility. Good time for new beginnings.

Midsummer / Litha Incense

21st June. Also known as Alban Heruin. The time when the sun is at its highest and brightest, bringing fertility to the land.

21st September. Also known as Alban Elved. A time of rest after labour. Balance of light & dark, completion of harvest preparation for Samhain.

Samhain / Hallowe'en Incense

31st October. Also known as Hallowe'en or the Feast of the Dead. This is the time when the veil is at its thinnest, the ruling time of the Crone aspect of the Goddess. Burn this incense to attune yourself to the season.

Yule / Midwinter Incense

21st December. Also known as Alban Arthuan to the druids. This is the time of the Goddess of the cold, darkness, and the rebirth of the Divine Child, the reborn Sun God. A time for rebirth and the turning of the earth force tides.
