How to use the Charcoal Blocks
Light the charcoal disc with a match. They are self igniting and will burn easily once lit. Place in a thurible, incense burner or heatproof dish as the disk begins to fizzle and spark (sand or salt in the bottom of the dish will help retain the heat). Ensure there is an airflow around the disk to supply sufficient oxygen for burning. After about 5 minutes the charcoal will turn grey, this is the time to add the incense.
N.B. Once the packet of charcoal has been opened it is advisable to keep it in an airtight container to prevent it from getting damp and thus losing its self-igniting properties
